I am so excited! As you girls know, it's been 9 happy years together, and he proposed on Saturday.

Here's how it went:

About a week ago, he told me that a zoo near us was having a "Baby Animal Day" on Saturday and that we should go. I love animals more than anything so of course this sounded like the best day ever to me On Saturday we were walking around the zoo when we stopped to look at this cute little baby, and all of a sudden he says, "There's actually another reason I wanted to bring you here today," and I turn to look at him and he's reaching in his pocket and getting down on one knee. I heard people around us go "awww" (but then they all seemed to disappear) and I remember him saying he loved me and wanted to spend the rest of his life making me happy but the rest is kind of a blur because I had burst out crying! I had waited so long for that moment and I couldn't believe it was finally happening.

Then we spent the next hour wandering around on cloud 9, and when we got back to the car, he had chilled champagne waiting. The whole weekend was so perfect and we are so excited!
