Hey girls, have been so busy, haven't had much time to spend on here, but now that summer is here, I should be on here alot more :)
In a month it will be my one year anniversary with my boyfriend. I am so excited and really want to do something very special and thoughtful for him because he does so much for me and I want to let him know how great this last year has been for me.
Im on a very tight budget, Im a student, and wasn't able to get a job this summer, so I dont know what to do. Ive already given him a scrapbook, and really don't want to go that route. But at the same time having trouble coming up with a really great thoughtful gift. Id even like to plan a really thoughtful romantic evening??
Have any ideas to help me out?

My suggestion is to get him a card and list all the reasons he is special to you, cook one of his favorite meals, put on something sexy, and stay in for the night. Not too creative, but should be an enjoyable and effective way to show he is special and wonderful without spending money you don't have.
My boyfriend and I celebrated our one-year a while ago, and I'm pretty sure he wanted to do something romantic but I basically mandated that we would celebrate by swimming, playing (and beating!) Paper Mario on the Wii, watching Pirates of the Carribbean, eating cheetos and Icees, and snuggling in bed. I basically just thought of all of our favorite things to do that aren't expensive, and declared that we do them all in one day. I know it sounds ridiculous but I had a blast because we had this huge list of fun things to accomplish by the end of the day.

I think this is an excellent idea!

I really like the ideas you girls gave... In my situation Im not sure how well they would work because we currently live together and sort of do those things on a daily basis.
I had an idea of giving him an actual gift, but something sentimental and that he could look back on. One idea i had was some sort of rosary since he always wears a rosary. Im just thinkng of something that he can actually use, but has meaning as well.

Is he in to designer things? If not then this may not be the gift for him. If he is I think its a great idea. You should be able to get it engraved at any jewelry store.
