Thank you all so much for the sweet well wishes - they mean a lot to me - don't know what I'd do with out my ST girls - love you guys!
Hopefully I will be coherent - I'm on some painkillers and very tired...
First of all, NO CANCER!!! yay! I'm expect to be cancer free for the rest of my long, healthy life.
My surgery ended up taking longer than expected, it was laparoscopic (4 small incisions where they insert tools and view everything on a screen - much less invasive) but because I had adhesions so severe, they took 2 hours to remove prior to getting to the ovaries/tubes. The surgeon said that most doctors would have just cut me open because of the work involved, but he knew I wanted to avoid that at all costs so he took the time to do it all laparoscopically, and I'm grateful for that. I will eventually be able to wear a bikini again after I get back in shape
They biopsied the ovaries/tubes and abdominal cavity, and found absolutely no cancer. I'm really relieved. This also meant I get to keep my uterus and cervix. I have also been lucky that I haven't experienced any severe menopausal symptoms. I have a bunch of natural supplements I'm taking (since I can't do estrogen therapy) so hopefully it will all be smooth sailing.
Now I just want to focus on getting the general ST site reworked, continue loving my job, and continue loving life and living it to the fullest
