AG Jeans Question
Permalink Closed

My new pair of AG jeans say dry clean only.  There was a special tag on the side that says, "Read Me!  Dry clean me only!  Why?  IT will keep  me lookin dark, crisp, clean and that's exactly why you are buying me right..."  It also has a few others things about depositing color onto lighter services because of the indigo dye.  Thoughts?  Do I really need to dry clean them?  I don't dry clean any of my sevens or cohs.  I wash them inside out (not every time I wear) and hang to dry.  I'm fine with the results of that.

I don't personally dry clean jeans, but they would keep them darker and it's true about dark rinse jeans still have remnant dyes in them. The first few washes should be with other dark colors or alone so it doesn't stain. Also, if it has excess dye, can stain light color furniture and shoes, bags, etc from rubbing off.

I don't dry clean my AG jeans, either, although it's probably true that they would have stayed fresher and crisper if I had. It still just doesn't seem worth it to me!

Thanks girls. None of my other expensive jeans have faded very much when I have washed them so I will just do the same with these. Thanks!
