ttara, thanks for asking. i just haven't had a chance to post.
the wedding was everything i wanted without the headaches. it was short and simple, yet incredibly STRESS-FREE! although we only had 10 guests, all that mattered to me was that my (now) husband was there. turns out the minister is a hawaii transplant in vegas and the photographer lived in maui for about 15 years. it definitely made me even MORE relaxed than i already was. we ended up eating @ the buffet and thankfully, my guests left FULL; no one was hungry.
we'll have to plan receptions for our families, but that's another story. for now, i'm enjoying the moment and getting used to calling him my husband.
i'd recommend a vegas wedding to anyone who doesn't want to deal with the headache and heartache of family politics. it wasn't corny or cheesy @ all and it was a lot of fun.
