What will the background/setting be? I love the idea of white dresses if the background provides enough color.

Edit: I've been looking at portrait studio pictures online and white outfits on a white background look nice. I think that's what I'm going to do.

Does anyone have any dress suggestions?

I think all white will be beautiful! Maybe add one hint of color on the baby, like in the form of a pale pink ribbon sash or a cute pale pink hair bow.

I'd try JCrew and their CrewCuts line. They probably have some cute matching-type outfits for mom/daughter. I get catalogues all the time w/ mom/daughter outfits, but I can't remember which ones!!!!! furious

Maybe if you did two shades of white (like cream and off white, or ivory and stark white, etc) then it wouldn't look like one huge mass of color and you could do dresses! I love the adult dress that MissMe posted!
