I have a hard time not wearing flip flops either! But they still are my go-tos....I've tried to liven up my closet with different varities and better quality, and I do get compiments on quite a few of the cute ones, but at the end of the day I'm still wearing flip-flops. Ugh!

I wore these last summer. I love the extra height from the platform, and they're really comfy.

These were my go-to shoes for more casual days. I have them in grey (as shown) and red.

I wore these tan sandals pretty much every day last summer but finally managed to ruin them in the rain. cry

I have a few pairs of low wedges and almost flat sandals I'm going to wear this summer. I never wear flip flops but that's just because they're too painful. smile

Wedge espadrilles. I have three pairs and am looking for more. They satisfy my need (because of foot problems) and want to wear heels, but without the pain of spike heels if I'm doing a lot of walking, like on vacations. Also I seem to do so many more casual things in the summer, and wedges go perfectly with skirts, jeans, dresses, or cargo pants, so they're versatile for me.

I don't really like flip flops...I have a couple pair from ON that are for things like lake trips, etc., where my better shoes would probably get destroyed, but in general I like to have a slightly dressier shoe than rubber flips.

I'm really loving my MIA Hepburn black pointy flats. I need some new sandals for the summer though.

flat peep-toe espadrilles from BR. I had a great pair of flat brown sandals, but they broke last year after their 1,000,000th wearing.

I usually wear mules, but then my feet got hot/sweaty, so I may need to invest in some cute mid-heel wedges. I like those sandals from Target in navy someone posted a while back.

Last summer it was black wedges with a high heel but a low platform. Technically they were a flip-flop but they had a more strappy look. They look like crap now but I cannot find a replacement for the life of me. They were a little like these, minus the heel strap and with a half-inch platform.
