Hazelnut Gelato/Ice Cream

I had the most delicious hazelnut gelato shake from a little gelato store in Silverlake.  Now, I really want to make a replica at home for DH...are there any hazelnut ice creams/gelatos in the stores, or do I actually have to make my own (buying the gelato there and it would melt before I get back to the west side).

I vaguely remember that Hagen Daaz had a hazelnut gelato a few years ago, but I haven't seen it recently?

is the gelato place on sunset and around hyperion? my old boss lives in silverlake and literally lived there. between casbah cafe and that gelato place, she was the happiest person ever. wink

on our end of town, Ciao Bella makes a hazelnut gelato. I think it's available at Gelson's and Whole Foods.

OMG - yes!  Pazzo Gelato!  It was incredible.  And it's a pretty short drive from downtown - I can see that I'll be sneaking out of work early before the long weekend to get a shake to tide me over!
