I have picked out a color for our master bathroom

sorry for the huge picture.

i am wondering what color my bedroom should be?  there are french doors that lead from the master bedroom to the master bath, but we have sheer white curtains on them so it isn't really visable.  or do i even have to worry about a complimentary color and just pick any color?

It doesn't necessarily have to be the same color or color family, but I think complementary would be good (complementary is a great way to describe what would work well).

Just so it is not jarring to go from one room to another. You know, icy lavender in the bath and canary yellow sponge paint in the bedroom.  weirdface

The blue you picked appears to be a beachy, Hamptons, kind of blue.

I see breezy whites, soft Nantuckety grey, and straw hat as possible choices.  You could also do a softer, lighter value of of the bath color in the bedroom.  No matter what  the color of the bedroom- remember you can always connect the two with accessories like accent pillows or vases.

You dont necessarily have to have a complementing color for your bedroom, but I think it would look nicer.  I think a chocolate brown, or anything in the tan/brown color family would look very nice.
