dirty feet..

sorry if this is gross!
now that i'm wearing sandals in the city everyday, my feet are COVERED in dirt by the end of the day.  Anyone have any recs for some economical wipes/wet ones/cleansing towels that i can use to clean off without washing my feet or showering (i usually shower late in the evening and my feet feel soo dirty now)?  Is this weird?

No - I think it's normal, and not weird! I actually use huggies wipes to clean my feet if I don't take a shower at the end of the day. I hate dirty feet, and huggies work great. They are inexpensive, and I keep a box under the sink.

i've tried baby wipes, lysol sanitizing wipes and purell antibac stuff, but nothing really beats soap and water. if i'm too lazy to shower, i wash my feet in the sink. i look like an idiot and lose my balance half the time, but dear god, i can't stand going to bed with dirty feet.

Sometimes I just wear socks to bed if I'm just too lazy to shower.

I second the Huggies wipes. I use them for lots of things besides diaper changing! Plus they come in lots of nice scents. My favorite right now is the scent that comes in the orange packaging. I think it is a mango blend of some sort.

Oh, I hear ya.  My feet get so dirty by the end of the day.  Here in Phoenix, we start wearing sandals pretty early, so "dirty feet season" starts in March here for me.  Plus, being a SAHM, I dress very casually most of the times, so flip flops or ballet flats are an all day thing for me.  I wash my feet in the bathtub every night with a body scrub and/or pumice.

In LA when it starts getting smoggy and hot, my feet are filthy after a day in sandals.  I generally soak them in the tub.  I've also found that using pumice reguarly keeps them cleaner - maybe the dirt can't stick if there are no dry patches?
