Salad dressing?
Permalink Closed

When I was at Buca di Beppo last weekend, I tried this amazing salad that had granny smith apples, walnuts, cranberries, gorgonzola cheese, and the most amazing dressing. Does anyone know a similar dressing? (the website just calls it an Italian vinaigrette).

Or can someone recommend a good dressing for a salad with the above ingredients? TIA!

Mmmmm. I love that salad. Except I dont like the cheese and I usually have it with pine nuts or almonds. I like balsamic vinagrette or raspberry vinagrette.

Newman's Own Olive Oil Vinaigrette is so good -- very mild. Also, his Italian salad dressing is great too -- I use it on spinach salads that require a stronger dressing to stand up to the goat cheese & cranberries I add

I used to make that salad a lot (minus the cranberries), and I used Ken's Raspberry-Walnut dressing.  It's very good!

Ken's steakhouse brand greek dressing is great on that type of salad. It's just sweet enough, and it's an oil/vinegar type greek.

I'd get a poppy-seed dressing for that salad or just drizzle the salad w/ balsamic vinegar and olive oil and grind a little black pepper on top.  I do the balsamic/olive oil dressing on almost all of my salads and it's so good and simple.

Ditto. I could eat Newman's Own Olive Oil Vinaigretty with a spoon.
