Cardi-wraps: in or out?

I'm looking for a blazer or cardigan that I can layer over outfits when it's 100 outside and -30 in my office.  I was wandering through BCBG the other day, and they have the softest, lightest cardi-wraps in lots of colors.  I'm tempted to get one, but will I look out-of-date? 

Are cardi-wraps over or still stylish?

Are you talking about those kinds that tie in a knot under the bust and are kinda cropped? Or literally like a wrap sweater?

If it is a wrap sweater, I say go for it.
