Thoughts on These Madras Wedges?
Permalink Closed

I thought they *may* be cute for summer parties/cookouts etc.  I was thinking they'd add a little something to a "plain" outfit.  Thoughts?

They're Tommy Hilfiger and have all 5 Star Reviews on Zappos

Ditto, but I think it could be because I can see the part that your foot will be covering.  I would need to see them on a foot before I could say for sure.

I understand the look you are trying to achieve; and I like it.  I think they're summery/picnic-worthy.  Def with a solid (white, soft pink, navy, chambray, green, khaki) dress is a soft-yet-crisp cotton or linen.  I think they could work with slim, dark denim capris and a crisp, white, vintage top too.

I'm not digging them. I am particularly adverse to the toe strap.

I think they are cute.  I am loving madras this season, just bought a lil hat in the pattern.

My only concern would be the ankle tie, sometimes a lot going on at the front of the ankle (instead of a back tie) adds a little too much bulk.  Try them on and see!

i actually really like them.  my only problems with ankle ties are looking stumpy :/

I really like them, and they're very 'Rar' smile.gif.  IMO the ankle ties look like they'd hit at or below the ankle bone and minimize any stumpiness that usually accompanies the higher ties.

I vote CUTE!

I don't care for them, personally.

I'm OBSESSED with madras right now, and I really like those shoes. I think I'd have to see them on a foot to see if I loved them. I think if the toe area was madras and the ankle ties were beige cotton I *might* like them more though.

With Zappos' return policy, it's probably worth a shot to purchase them and return if they look funny/stumpy on

I don't like the color of the heel part. If it was lighter, then yes. The print is cute. But I would pass.

I like them all except for the ankle tie, seems kind of awkward. I'd like to see them on before I fully decide though.

They do look a little busy, but they'd probably be cute on. Just in case you're looking for more options, since you do sound indecisive about them, I remembered seeing these earlier:
