In my search for a definition on junk food, I saw this "Luther Burger." Has anyone ever heard of or had one? I'm just really curious! Seems like an unusual combo -- sugar and beef...

I wonder if it kind of tastes like McDonald's McGriddle breakfast sandwich.

Dear God that looks good!  I'll bet it's fantastic.  Probably similar in the sweet/savory combination to a McGriddle, like cahabo suggested.  I think I feel saddlebags growing just for looking at it though!

I had heard about this years ago...apparently Luther Vandross wanted to make a burger late one night but was out of buns and bread so he used 2 donuts instead. MMMMM....gluttony at its finest.

I don't know, I think it would be kind of gross.

This burger was on an episode of the cartoon "The Boondocks" where the grandfather opened a restuarant that featured that burger. The restuarant had beds so after the customers would eat the buger they would fall asleep, becuase it was so heavy.

It sounds a bit strange, but it could be really tasty.  I might not be adventurous enough to try it though!

i'd want to try it, but the idea of eating the whole thing is making me feel nauseous.

Gross! I remember that episode of the Boondocks...it was hilarious, but I'm nauseated at the idea of the thing. The comparison to a McGriddle makes it even less appetizing... I hate those! My boyfriend always gets them and I think it's disgusting.

Our local fair sells Krispy Kreme "sandwiches" every year.  I think they have chicken and ground beef.  Sigh...I'm too busy with Berocks and Indian Tacos to make it to the death by KK booth.
