So as most of you know, I've had a super weird year. Breaking up with my SO, moving, dating...blah blah blah. Just when I thought my life was regaining some sort of normalicy....

Today I get laid off from my job. Exactly 4 years after I started- to the day!

However, its not a bad thing! I'm actually pretty excited about it. I knew our company wasn't doing well (it was strictly a financial decsions, based nothing on persoanlity or performance) and I had seen it coming for awhile. I'm thinking about taking a few weeks off to chill out, then go to Belize in June and look for work when I come home. Our job market is booming so I'm not worried about finding work at all.

Its just weird at how mixed up this year has been for me. The "powers the be" have really decided to shake up my life juggle.gif  Send me some good vibes girls!

I'm so sorry this year has been crazy for you.
I think you do deserve a couple of weeks off and a nice, relaxing vacation!

That's too bad that you got laid off, but it sounds like you have a really positive outlook towards all of the change in your life, which is definitely to be commended.

I can't remember if you are still living in the place I think you are living in, or if you moved to the city I live in, but either way they are close enough that you can... go shopping at the H&M that just opened up here!!! To make you feel better of course... it's great. I heart it.

I was thinking the same thing!  Sounds like you have a pretty good plan that you are pleased with.

I hope you have fun on your trip to Belize...and time off sounds heavenly right now!  I'm jealous. wink

As I recall, you've been thinking about a new career for a while now. I'm sure this is just the little push you need to get you headed in the direction you'd like to go. Besides, you deserve to relax and enjoy your spring and trip to Belize!
