What's in your work beauty bag?
Permalink Closed

Do you keep a bag of beauty items and toiletries in your desk at work? Here are a few items I keep in mine (all are smallest sizes I can find), but I'm wondering if you ladies have any tips on other must-haves you like.

evian brumisateur spray
moisturizer (face/eyes)
hand lotion (this never stays in the bag and is usually a Lush pot size)
toothbrush/toothpaste/floss
emery board
visine eye drops
hand sanitizer/wipes
pain reliever
claritin or dayquil
light body spray
deoderant
ponytail bands
pomade (husband gets travel size pots of redken polish-up from his stylist and it's nice and light but still tames flyaways!)
lip gloss/blush/concealer
tweasers
tampons
grapefruit essential oil
emergency $20 bill

I also usually keep a desk drawer full of things like chewing gum/mints, chocolate or other treats I can give as "rewards" or bring to meetings, and organic teas and snacks... but that's another thread!

I have a full makeup set at work because sometimes I don't have enough time in the morning before work. In order to get to work on time, I do my makeup (really quickly) at my desk. It's mostly drugstore stuff, but I like each item.
covergirl foundation
L'Oreal Powder
Mabelline blush
Elizabeth Arden eyeshadow set
L'Oreal eyeliner
Voluminous mascara
Since we have workout and shower facilities, I also have
shampoo & conditioner
toothpaste toothbrush
deoderant
bodywash
+ lotion
tampons
chapstick

deoderant
toothpaste
toothbrush
floss
mouth wash
gum/mints
bobby pins and a few hair elastics
hair spray
nail file
cuticle oil
nail clippers
cuticle scissors
nail polish remover
hand cream
chap stick
various pain relivers and sinus meds (the company took out the medicine from the first aid kit, and I raided it before hand)
tampons
tide pen
sewing kit
static guard
hollywood tape
hand sanitizer
eye drops
saline solution
tweezers
razor (I really don't know why, I've never used it, but it's in there. I bought hubby a leather "beauty" kit (manacure set and a few more items) that had crummy stuff, so I took the bad stuff to work and replaced the items in the leather case with good ones. The razor was in that kit.)

gd, you are the QUEEN!

I need to add a tide pen, nail clippers, and maybe some nail polish remover.

May I ask what are some common uses of the hollywood tape? I imagine it could work for a fallen hem or to keep a top in place, but maybe there are other uses?

The Hollywood Tape is good for a fallen hem and to keep a top in place, and are probably the best two uses. I also use it on blouses that gap between the buttons at the boobs. You can secure straps with it too. I keep a few pieces in my purse too, just in case. It's pretty handy.

I recently posted about this in stylepolls and got tons of ideas.

I put all my stuff in a metallic blue box I got from those perfume sets at dept stores.  I actually took a pic of my drawer yesterday and was going to post it in an updated post!

Heres what I have:
Lint Brush
Static Sheets
Wet Wipes
Chapstick
Pantiliners
Nail Polish Remover Pads
Mini Perfume Spray Samples
Deodorant
Hairspray
Mouthwash
Mini Sewing Kit
Shoe Polish
Hand Sanitizer
Safety Pins
Bobby Pins and Ponytails
Make Up Sponge
Mini Hair Brush
Lip Gloss
Loose Powder Eyeshadow
Manicure Kit
Almost gone foundation turned upside down just in case I need it one of these days.
Hand Lotion
Mini Desk Mirror
Sweatshirt for when they crank up the AC to 0 below.

I usually carry my tiny makeup bag in my purse so I dont keep make up in my drawer.

I still have to buy: closed toe flats, tide to go, double stik tape, clear nail polish

EDIT: I'm a dork....here's my pic:
