I'm considering buying this bag (ShopBop) but am curious if anyone knows if it's available anywhere with a coupon code before I splurge. This will be my ultra luxurious laptop bag and probably a great carry-on when I travel. I hate carrying a laptop bag AND a handbag, so I figured this could be both. I saw it IRL today and the suppleness of the leather floored me.

In case anyone is wondering about the size, I have a 15" MacBook Pro, and although I didn't have it with me while shopping, I know it will fit inside even with the neoprine sleeve -- plus all the stuff I carry in my handbag. (15"H x 20"L x 6"D)

Do you think it's a good investment bag? To me, $695 seems like a good deal for such a large Botkier, but it's still almost $200 more than I thought I might spend on something droolworthy. I welcome alternative suggestions... but I really want this one :)

What a nice bag! To be completely honest, it doesn't make me drool at $700 as much as some of the other bags I've seen here do -- but I think that it is still very, very nice and you could make great use of it. I think it would be a great laptop / travel sort of bag and since you've seen it in person and fell in love, go for it! Unfortunately I'm no help with coupon codes, but I bet others here will know more than me.

I agree that when the size/function factor is removed, there are other better bags for this price... many I would ordinarily consider. However, I have found very few that are large enough to accomodate my laptop plus personal items without being obscenely large/tall, ordinary, or common. The appeal of the Botkier is that it looks like a large handbag, so I don't have to sacrifice a fabulous bag for function.

Thanks for chiming in, littlebean. I'm hoping for a magic code, but if it doesn't appear, at least I know I tried!
