I must have freaky chemistry, because all the scents I love end up smelling like old lady on me.

This may be a dumb question, but do you regularly throw your perfume out? I wasn't aware until a while ago that perfume only lasts for about a year before it gets that old lady smell. I noticed that my perfume was smelling like an old lady and I was super concerned that I had atrocious smelling abilities, but I went online and found out it goes bad after a year. So now I always buy the smallest possible bottle.

actually, I don't, but I generally use it up pretty quickly because I have so few. But the perfumes I own don't smell old-ladyish; I was referring to those I try on at the store (Chanel scents, for example) that I really like, but smell awful on me an hour later.

Stella by Stella McCartney and Chanel Coco Mademoiselle are my two favorites.
