I am so excited!

Here's how it went down:

Doug and I had plans to have lunch together on Thursday. He called me in the morning and said, "I'll just get a pizza and we can meet at home." I only agreed because I left something at home and I wanted to get it (thankfully I agreed, or the entire plan would have been thrown off).

Well, when I open the door the entire living room is decorated w/ balloons, streamers, roses, candles everywhere, and completely wall-papered w/ decorative paper. On the coffee table was about 4 dozen roses and a bottle of champagne and two champagne glasses. There were signs all over the room w/ inside jokes and little sayings like "You are the woman of my dreams" etc.

Doug was across the room and when I came in (he took a photo of my surprised face right when I walked in) and then he walked across the room and pulled the box out of his jacket pocket and got down on one knee and proposed. I started balling!!

Then he told me that I had the day off and he had planned for a romantic getaway in a small beach house in Half Moon Bay. He had already worked it out with my boss for me to have the time off and re-scheduled all my appointments.

So, we left Thursday for the beach and had such a romantic time! It was just really relaxing. We ate lots of good food, drank lots of good wine, we went on a lot of walks along the beach, etc. I am seriously walking on clouds right now!!
