Europe is definitely possible!

One good idea is maybe driving across Ireland (or any other country for that matter). I had a lot of fun going from castle to castle for about 10 days. It was a great way to see the country.

As much as I love trips to Europe or anywhere for that matter...for a honeymoon I'd want lazy and romantic! I think you should stay at an all inclusive on a nice beach somewhere...that way once you get there you don't have to worry about paying for drinks and food and can just lay around on the beach all day relaxing from the wedding and enjoying each others company.

agreed. Although I'm not a big sight-seeing person, I especially don't want to do that on my honeymoon. And while Europe could be romantic, I'd feel guilty that I was using all my time laying in bed with my new hubby instead of seeing the country. If you want to go there, great! But will you feel the pressure to do things you don't want to do? Or do you think you'd rather do sight-seeing? I know some people go stir-crazy cooped up in a room or laying around on a beach.

My honeymoon is going to require these things: a hot tub, a snuggly bed, opportunities to get dressed up and hit the town at night, and obviously the guy smile

If I went somewhere in Europe, I'd feel like I was wasting my time on things like that because it's such a good place to tour and I could do those things at home.

We haven't ruled out a beach honeymoon, we thought St. Barts or the like would be nice, but we thought we might like Europe (Italy, France...) too. We go to the beach quite a bit on vacation through out the year (4 times last year), so we thought we might like a change of pace for the honeymoon.

as long as you're not too tired, Europe would be fun! You can always plan a lay-around-on-the-beach day there (Southern France, Italy). I think Escrime's idea sounds amazing, though -- very romantic!

I think that Ireland, France, Italy and Austria/Switzerland are all great, romantic destinations! There are places in all of those countries that you can go that are a little smaller (e.g. Salzburg) where you could spend time doing some yummy eating / sightseeing without having to feel like you must be at eight different museums every day. Depending on how long you'd like to go for and how expensive of a hotel you want to stay at, you could certainly go to all of those places for under $3,000 and have a great, luxurious trip.
