STYLETHREAD -- LET'S TALK SHOP!

ok so i decided on this dress:





then i noticed that they are sold out in my size, 4.  i looked at my other dvf dresses, thinking maybe one of them was a 6, and they are all 4s.  so i clearly need a 4.  i tried shopbop, nordstrom, neimans, bergdorfs and barneys and the only store that even shows that dress is saks.  i called cs and they don't have it in their store inventory.  so my only option is to get a 6 and have it altered.  

is that easily do-able given the fabric, etc?  i should add that i live overseas and the tailors here are amazing, so i think if it's relatively easy then i should be able to get it done for pretty cheap, like maybe $10, and i can take her my other dvf wraps to use as a model.  i feel weird about paying so much for a dress that has to be altered, but i really want it.  thoughts?

anywhere else that sells dvf that i didn't check (i don't want to do ebay)?  thanks!
