squishy I can save them but when I try to use them as my avatar they do not have any movement

aha! i figured it out...

downloading and re-uploading results in a still image (boo). so try right clicking on the image, copy image location, and then under avatar settings, choose "link to an avatar" and paste in the link.

hopefully that'll work

it tells me to enter a vaild link boo- hiss.  I will work on it so more later. I need my coffee now

you should just be able to right click on the avatar, copy the url, and paste it into your avatar url field in your avatar settings...
