I got a bonus at work! I'm going to be good and put most of it in savings, but I want to spend $500 of it on a new handbag as a reward for my hard work. I haven't bought a new handbag in 2 years. Can anyone suggest a handbag that's around $500 that I'll be able to use for a long time? I don't want to get anything too trendy because it's not often I get to buy myself a nice new bag. Here are some of the ones I've been looking at, but I'd like more suggestions since I'm a bag novice. I'm a fan of doctor bags. TIA!

I wish I could find something that resembled this one:

Would you still like it if it were in your price range? The website below is actually owned by LVMH (this was confirmed by the Louis Vuitton's VP of Merchandising, her BF works for my company) and is 100% legit. All of the executives at my office buy their wives gifts on it. www.elleluxury.com Among the beauties there are: $549
$449
$479

woah Farrah, that site is really legit? They spelled a few designer names wrong.
I love the Rachel Nasvik bag. I have one of her bags and the leather is really nice. If you are interested in other colors/shapes she has a few sale bags left on her site for under $400.

I don't think this website is legit. They have a lot of commonly faked Pradas on there, and they spelled many of the designer's names incorrectly. Basically it's too good to be true.

I came, I saw, I did a little shopping.
As much as I love MJ, I find that over time their bags don't hold up to well. To me, it seems like they still need to improve their quality a little bit. But that is just my opinion, I still love their handbag designs.
I like the small black ojne, but I suggest checking out off 5th- they always have the more traditional MJs bags for around $600 and I'm always getting 10-15% off coupons (so I'm sure you could find one easily if you dont already get them)
i have this bag but in a deep red, and it is HEAVY, as in it-gives-me-knots-on-my-shoulder-heavy. i bought it a couple of years ago b/c i had been dreaming about getting it for years, and it was my first big purchage bag. now i rarely carry it anymore b/c it's just too heavy -- it's b/c of the leather and all the hardware. mj bags are heavy in general, and i just can't see myself shelling out money for them again.
personally, i've always loved the Goldenbleu Jordan and think the style is a classic:
