What did you guys think? I loved it!!!!!!!!! Ben kinda grows on me more every episode, is that wierd? I can't wait to see what Locke's dad is doing there.

ps my favorite thing from the ep: "I hope that box is big enough to imagine yourself a new submarine!"

I know, when Locke said that to Ben I started cracking up! And I agree the "magic" box is kind of over the top, but I wonder if there really is a magic box or if Ben has had Locke's dad all along.
I'm glad someone posted, we haven't talked about LOST in several weeks.
I really liked last night's ep. In fact, I've liked the last few. I didn't really take the magic box story seriously, I thought Ben was just messing w/ Locke in order to pull the Dad out later. I'm glad they finally explained how Locke became paralyzed, for some reason I'd really been wanting to know that.
Ben has grown on me too. He's clever and manipulative, yet clearly terrified of losing his authority.
I also really liked that Sayid told Alex that she looked like her Mother. I've been dying to know how things will turn out once Alex finds out that her Mother is still alive and on the island.
One more thing, is there a flaw in the Locke story cause I thought last season he was on some drug compound thing and that he got shot??? How do the two story lines connect? Or am I just confusing him with someone else?
I enjoyed last night's episode. I'm glad we finally got to see how Locke ended up in a wheelchair. I couldn't help but feel sorry for him, but if he had told the son everything about his dad's identity, then Locke wouldn't have ended up paralyzed and the son wouldn't have been killed. I'm dying to find out what'll happen next week with his dad!
I love Locke. He's so loony! And the actor who plays Ben does such an awesome job. I did think the blowing-up-the-submarine thing was a pretty stupid plan.
My husband thinks the "magic box" is some sort of hologram effect -- that it projects something you'd most like to see, or something that's bothering you. That would explain Jack seeing his father, Hurley seeing his imaginary friend, Shannon seeing Walt, etc.

I know, I had that same thought as well.
They were. But do we really think that they actually got off the island? And Ben is so manipulative, you can't really believe a word he says anyway.
I loved this episode. Locke is hysterical and completely off his beam, but I love him. I'm glad we finally found out how he was paralyzed. That's been a big question from the beginning.
And I really don't think that there is actually a magic box. I think it's Ben being manipulative (again). I can't wait to find out how Locke's dad got to the island. The hologram theory is interesting, though, because it would explain several of the things that the characters have seen (or thought that they were seeing) in past episodes.
Michael/ Walt/ Boat...... Are we never going to see them again? Has there ever been any talk about them coming back on the show at some point? If we have to be way far fetched- since they had communication with the outside world before they blew up the station………maybe the coordinates were given to them b/c they knew that they would be rescued by a passerby at that given point? I don’t know…just using my imagination. That boat doesn’t seem like it would hold up for a trip that takes who knows how long. Ugh, I’m too literal sometimes.

That is what I was thinking too! It really could go either way though.
Also, I was just talking to a coworker about Lost today, but do we think that Ben knows that Claire and Jack are brother and sister? He seems to know everything about everyone, so it wouldn't surprise me if he knew that, which could be interesting if/when that plays out.
