Does anyone own Bose headphones? I am interested specifically in the Quiet Comfort 2 Noise Cancelling or the Around-Ear/Triport headphones. I know they're supposed to be great, but did you think it was worth the extra cash? Thanks! (I know this should go in tech style, but I figured it would get more traffic here)

I bought some classic style noise-cancelling headphones last fall and then became hugely disappointed when I found out they now have ear-bud style noise-cancelling ear phones that are much more convenient and just as good. I haven't actually bought a pair yet, but I did do some research on sites that review ear buds and they are definately worth the money and easier to deal with than the classic clunky style. Just a thought. Here are a few:
i don't have any experience with headphones/bose, but i had these sony earbuds (~$40-50)
then upgraded to these v-moda vibe ones after 4 years ($80-100):
they were pricey, but i love them and use them every day. they're sturdy and cancel noise beautifully. i haven't been on an airplane with these yet, but i think they'll hold up pretty well.
