I just read an article in the April Allure called "Comando". It was saying how celebrities as well as other women do not find underwear as a necessity any more. I mean I guess if youre wearing jeans it doesnt matter (although uncomfortable) and I can see if youre wearing a very tight long dress and a thong shows panty lines then you wouldnt want to wear underwear. But come on! All these girls that are caught on camera are in very short skirts or dresses...they should learn by now that a picture of their "business" is going to be taken and to dress accordingly.

It was kind of gross too because they interviewed some people that worked in boutiques or high end stores and saying since women are starting not to wear underwear they need to think of a sanitary way for them to try on clothes, since other people will be trying on the same thing.

I cannot fathom leaving my house without underwear on. I just wouldn't ever do it. That's why there are thongs and spanx and seamless panties and every other concievable thing under the sun to keep panty lines from showing if you don't want them to.

Although I think it's obvious by this point that all these crotch shots are being done for publicity's sake. I can't even imagine. Not that I ever go out without underwear on anyway, but if I happened to do that and I knew for a fact that photographers would be watching my every move, I'd be so freaking careful not to flash that I'd probably end up hanging out in the bathroom all night. I couldn't imagine knowingly going out and getting my crotch photographed for all the world to see - not because of the great masses (although that would distress me, too), but more of the people I know and love. How the crap does she do that to her family? I'd be freaking scared that my uncles would beat me senseless if they found pictures of me like that.

Anyway, yeah, I don't quite understand the whole no-underwear trend. Did all these celebs go out to lunch and talk about how they all weren't going to wear underwear any more? I just don't get it. And oh. my. god. now that I know people don't wear underwear when they're out shopping it makes me want to gag. YUCK!!!!

I took one for the team and clicked on the janice pics. She appears to be wearing panties at least. Almost classy in comparison...

talk about not wearing underwear... I was in the shopping section of this forum and someone asked the question of what sort of underwear do you wear to the gym and SEVERAL women said no undies at all.

I think its ironic that we're here saying why do celebs do this meanwhile regular women are doing it too.

I think there is a huge diference between wearing lined workout pants and a supershort miniskirt while not taking care to not show your business to the entire world.

The whole not wearing underwear while shopping thing grosses me out but I think it is otherwise acceptable for a woman not to wear underwear if she so chooses but discretion must be used. Britney, Lindsay, and countless other young celebutantes are not using such discretion.
