OK, I can see why the Mariachi look isn't "you." It's rather masculine. I do like how the zapatos match the guitar. Accessories are so important.
But what's not to like? Well, for me, I don't really wear florals. Nor would I do such a bold print on the bottom half BUT in a cropped/capri length, or maybe an a-line skirt, this idea could work. Less print, I guess.
I am a fan of graphic B/W. Think about maybe a zebra print or tablecloth/gingham check or other ways this same feel could be achieved in a different print, if that's an issue. Maybe a "ditsy" (scattered, allover) floral instead of this more tropical print. Don't see too much ditsy prints these days, but I'm sure they're out there.
But at 22 you're probably fit and lean and willing to be alluring, and worthy of being the center of attention with or without a personal Mariachi band accompanying you, so this seems age-appropriate to me.
The blouse is adorable and a year-after-year staple. No justification needed!
Something about the cut of the pants looks weird to me but I think it is a really cute idea. I used to have pair of pants that were a similar style but black and white checked lines, I loved them!
I don't like the pants with a long sleeved shirt. With the print and the sleeves there's just too much coverage......a bit of skin would help. I think that you could do that print on a full length pant with a different shirt.
