This could save me some money on spring shopping. I have so many button downs that are in great condition, but I never wear because of the gaping issue.

 I know! and theres also the possibilty of buying button downs at f21 instead of paying $$ for well taylored ones.... if noone's tred these yet I'll order next week  and play guinea pig if I can scrounge up the $

Those look awesome. I have this particular sweater that gaps open if I don't iron it before wearing... Anything to avoid ironing, right?

I hardly ever wear button downs without a sweater over them anymore, mainly because of the gap issue.
