Hey grrls I was looking at this navy with white stars DVF dress I found online. I want you grrls honest opinion on it since it would be my first DVF. I found it for $173 even though nordstrom site has it for around $300 I think. Anyways, do you think the dress is worth it? Are DVF dresses easy to find on sale at B&M stores and around how cheap do they usually go down? A lot of questions but TIA I would appreciate it!
I think it is very cute! I wouldn't spend $300, but $173 isn't bad for a DVF dress. Maybe you could search a little more for a sale, but that price seems like a good sale thats almost $50 off! Very cute dress too!

I liked that dress a lot until I tried it on IRL. It was *very* low cut on me, to the point where even with a tank top on under it, it looked very odd on me. But I have a small chest, which may have contributed to the low-cutness. So I'd try it on somewhere first, if you could.
That's a pretty good price for a DVF and this one is really cute. It is really low cut though but most DVF dresses don't have alot of chest coverage. With a tank it would be perfect.

I think that dress is really cute, and $173 is a good price. It looks like that's a true wrap, so be sure to size up. I'm normally a size S or 2/4, and I take a size 6 in DVF wraps.
I like it a lot and think $173 is a good price. I stalked my own DVF for over a year on eBay and got it for half of retail (mine retailed for $395 and I won it for $199). I love it. Everyone's right though about sizing - I am a size 8 in a dress and need a 10 in DVF. Also I am a C cup and yeah, they're definitely cleavage dresses, so sometimes I wear a cami underneath.
I think that color is so easy to work with - you could do brown accessories, or to be a bit bolder, red, yellow, maybe even a rust/orange. I say go for it!
Oh, and to answer your other question - I think it totally depends on the style. Mine was hard to find at retail and sold out (AFAIK) at full price. Other styles I've seen hanging in the stores for quite some time...I think it will depend on the specific dress, how long they are around and how much they get marked down.
