I have a dilemma. Last VDay I got some earrings from my boyfriend and a few weeks ago I lost one earring. I am not really eager to tell him about it bc I fear that he will think I am irresponsible and maybe think twice about getting me jewelry next time. I was hoping to replace the pair myself but am having such a hard time finding anything similar.
They are small round huggies, 10mm, made of 14K white gold with 2 rows of 6 little diamonds. I don't care what its made of, as long as it LOOKS similar. Also, I was thinking of visiting a jeweler in my area and seeing if he can make one earring to match the one I have but I am wondering if making ONE earring is going to cost me a bunch, what do you guys think?
sorry, I'm not much help. But you're better than I am - I recently lost a part of a present BF gave me, so I tried to just put the other half in the closet and hope that it would be "out of sight, out of mind." But this weekend he was helping me load up my car and found what I lost! So it was only then that I admitted I was going to try to have him just forget it...

I know that it seems harsh to tell him you lost one, but things happen, if you can't understand that......... tell him he should have gotton you a ring instead haha. I think all the trouble you are going to have to go through to find another seems silly. I wouldn't have a jeweler MAKE another one, it would cost a fortune, especially if you do not care what it is made of. I would take it in and ask if they are familiar with the style and maybe they can point you in the right direction. Hope it turns up none the less!!! Good Luck!

I ordered a look alike pair in silver and CZ that I figured would tide me over until I find the real thing. Unfortunately, when I got the earrings, they were much different than they looked in the picture. When I called the company, they said the manufacturer wasn't making that style any more :(
So I fessed up to my man who didn't seem to mind after all. I think he was annoyed but all he really said was "Well your birthday is coming up soon so don't worry." Yay it wasn't that bad, but I really miss those earrings any way. I was thinking about rocking one earring like a pirate.
