I'm always afraid of people veering into 'unique, in a bad way' , especially with the spelling thing. IMO, adding/subbing letters and such to make a nice name more 'youneake' is fine I guess, but saddling a kid with a name that's going to need to be spelled and re-pronounced their whole life is kind of a bummer. I feel bad for all the awesome middle ground, recognizable but not uber-popular names that get skipped over! So, here is my I'm-a-big-name-nerd list ......
Ditto! I wish people would just spell their kids names correctly! I always feel bad for children who have a name that isn't spelled correctly. I think that stems from having friends/cousins who had common names, but they were misspelled. They always hates it and people pronounced them wrong.

Names that I like: Dakota, Bryce, Jerron, Jarrett, and Regan.
