Okay, seriously, I clicked on this thread again to add this. A few years ago my friend told me about some twins her aunt knows named Oranjelo and Lemonjelo. I wonder if these are the same kids! That's so weird!!!!
OMG! Maybe that was it! I could have gotten the flavors wrong. /hijack
I've heard of those names too. Maybe it's an urban legend??
I've wondered if this is an urban legend, b/c i have heard this story in different variations...some were a teacher had twin students, a nurse delivered twins, etc.
However, someone once told me that there was a Lemongelo Wright in Alabama...in the correctional system...who know if there is a twin orangelo out there.
I've heard the whole Lemongelo/Orangelo story from various people too! My sister and I are married to brothers and when they're together, we call them Orangelo and Lemongelo. We have for years!
I think in 10 years we'll all be posting about unique names like...Tom, John, and Mike Here are some little quys of my acquaintance.... Davin Blaine Titus & Lennox (they're twins) Styer - I always think of a stye in your eye. Silas Tagan I thought Caeden was a unique name until 2 other couples I know named their boys- at least they spelled it differently. Kayden and Caden, respectively.

I believe this is an urban legend. I first heard it from a cop who claimed to have arrested the illustrious duo sometime in the 80s...
I'm always afraid of people veering into 'unique, in a bad way' , especially with the spelling thing. IMO, adding/subbing letters and such to make a nice name more 'youneake' is fine I guess, but saddling a kid with a name that's going to need to be spelled and re-pronounced their whole life is kind of a bummer. I feel bad for all the awesome middle ground, recognizable but not uber-popular names that get skipped over! So, here is my I'm-a-big-name-nerd list ......
Reese (Rhys is another recognized spelling) Thaddeus Campbell Zavier Soren Lucian Quinten Mathias August Rhett Emmett Tobias Rowan Joaquin Quinn Donovan Micah Oscar Seth
Erin, I Graeme - it's my super-secret boy baby name!

There is a kicker in the NFL whose name is Olindo Mare (which translates to "beautiful sea"). I think Olindo is such a striking name especially if you have a latin last name.

I've heard about those twins too...at the same time I heard about them I also heard about the police pulling over a guy whose name is pronounced Sha-theed...but spelled Shithead...so now my brother and sister and i call each other Sha-theed
