oh my gosh. EW.
I know I should wash everything, but half the time I'm either sooo excited to wear it, or else I waited until the last minute to buy it and now I *need* to wear it that night, that I just don't wash it all. I know I should. But I try to block all of that out of my head.

I never wash anything first usually, although I just started washing undies before I wear them because who knows where they've been and who's touched them.

Double ewww! I know I should wash the bras and panties first but I rarely do - like a few of the other girls - i get too excited to wear them. My BF does wash everything (pacakfged t-shirts even) before wearing. So if it's an easy care item, I've been just tossing them in and letting him wash them. The less and lessunderwear thing is a really good point though. I was at Loehmann's and most of the women had no bras on and I've seen a couple of women with no panties.
I never wash anything first... it honestly never occurred to me! I've never been squeamish about germs, and the thing is, there's germs EVERYwhere, on every single thing we touch and use--everything, even our own personal stuff that we think of as clean because it's ours. There's millions of bacteria all over our bodies all of the time, even if we just took a shower! Obviously if something is dirty, or stained, or has an odor, I will wash it, but if not, I just don't see that much point.
You should even wash panties that come in packages. How do you think they get made? Or can they be 100% machine made and packaged with no hands touching? Besides that, is the undie factory clean enough to scoot your behind on it? I don't think so.

Not only that, but some of the processing chemicals / dyes used in fabrics (for treatments, such as softness, sheen, etc) are very, very harsh. It probably really is best to wash new clothes first. However...I don't. I like to wear new things first, then wash.
