Usually the only thing I wash first is panties. And sometimes, not even those - if I get a pair that's on a hanger or something that other people could have touched, I wash those. But if I just get plain hanes or something in a bag, I'll only wash those about 1/2 the time.

I am so bad I rarely wash anything before wearing. I don't have a washer dryer so I have to lug everything 3 blocks down to the laundromat and drop like $20. I try to wash as little as possible!
The only clothes I wash are from my thrift and second hand stores, never thought about washing bras and panties (even tho' I buy all of them brand new), but maybe I will, you just never know these days.....

I think we've done this poll before but yup, I wash pretty much everything. You never know who else tried it on and then there are all the packing chemicals, etc and dyes. I've been known to make exceptions though if I'm in a rush to wear it but I usually feel icky wearing it or if it's something I can layer over other clothes I may wait to wash.
If you think about it, we should wash everything. So many hands touch the items we find in stores. They are sometimes stored on dusty shelves or fall to the floor. That is not even mentioning all the people that might have tried that same item on before. Its the kind of thing you can't even think about because it will skeeve you out too much.
I read an article about women wearing less and less underwear, particularly around LA and Hollywood. One boutique owner said that about half the time she sees someone in the dressing room, they are not wearing underwear.
