i have some j.crew gcs and i am going on vacation soon, so i figured i would use them now.  each item is $88, so i only want to get two. 

   



here are my thoughts....
 
the green dress and the bracelet are special (you don't see many dresses in that pretty green color, plus it's a good color for me).  the brown dress would fill a hole in my closet, but i might be able to find one for a better price.  the bracelet is a bit expensive for what it is, but it's soooooooooo adorable.

I think that the braclet is too expensive for what you are getting. It is really cute,but I feel like you could find something very similar in Mexico (not sure where you are vacationing, but if Mexico you could pick up some great jewelry similar to that).

I think you could get a lot of uses out of the dresses. Old Navy has some that are similar, but not in those colors.

So that may have not helped you much, but those are my thoughts!

Hmm....the bracelet is cute but not that cute. I think you're better off with the two dresses. I love them both.

I would get the green dress and the bracelet. I don't know if $88 is overpriced or not (though IMO jcrew is usually a bit overpriced in general). It says "hand painted", which is a nice touch, but doesn't say where it's from...gold plating will also wear off over time, but it doesn't look like the bracelet has that much plating to worry about.

I agree with you about the green being unusual. I bought a dress in a similar style, same color last year and LOVE it. Plus the bracelet will go perfectly with your new dress and a bunch of other things. I'd watch for the brown dress to go on sale or like you said - you'll probably find something similar later. That shade of brown is all over the place lately.

i know that's what i was thinking about a brown jersey dress.  plus, i know that a lot of KJL jewelry pieces are similar if not higher in price, and earlier this year there were some bracelets like that from j.crew and they sold out rather fast.  hmmmm.....

that's for the opinons so far....i'm really torn for some reason.

I would get the green dress and the bracelet. Love the color! I agree that you could probably find a similar bracelet for less money, but I always have a hard time going with an alternative once something has really caught my eye. But maybe that's just a personal weakness :) Don't think you can go too wrong either way.....

Get the green dress & the bracelet.  $88 is not that bad for something pretty like that.  Plus the cost per wear of jewelry can be a lot better than clothing since you can pretty much wear that stuff forever.  HTH!
