I bought this dress on e-bay and when I first tried it on didn't like it at all because it was just too open on the chest.  Today I tried it on with a t-shirt underneath and now am not sure.  The sleeves are long with elastic at the bottom but if I keep it I will have the tailor shorten them probably to about 3/4.  Do you think it would make a good spring/summer work dress or should I donate it to charity?

iam not sure now, the more I look at  something is off to me. Maybe its the length or the pleats on the bottom(is it pleats?)

Thank you all for the comments.  One of the reasons I want to make the dress work is that it doesn't have a black background.  I looked in my closet and found that my spring/summer dresses inlcude a black with white polka dot, a black with cream abstract, a black with teal/cream floral, and so on.  I was seriously thinking about buying the DVF antoinette with the pink lip pattern but again it is a pattern with black background.
