Stretching shoes?
Permalink Closed

Last year, I bought a pair of Steve Madden Magnolias on clearance. I'm usually a 6.5 but I bought the 6 because I was desparate for the shoes and they were so cheap. They fit fine in the heel part and they're wide enough at the base of my foot, but they're tight in the front, especially around the peeptoe part. Is there any way I can stretch them out so they'll fit a bit better? TIA!

yes you can stretch them. if they just need a little stretching, take a cotton ball and soak with alcohol. swipe this on the inside of the shoe where you want it stretched. wear thick socks and wear them around the house for a couple of days. if it needs more stretching than just a little take them to a cobbler and they can stretch them. my guy charges like $5.

I take mine to a cobbler and he stretches them for me. I have been pleased everytime I have taken something to him. It may take a couple of tries because they don't want to over stretch them. Mine usually starts very small and we work our way up so that they fit. Like Xtina said- he charges me about $5.
