Would you? Could you?

A year or so ago, I bought a pair of Nine West Studio shoes that weren't even really my style from the Marshall Field's clearance racks for $40. I fell in love with them and wore them nearly every day. I swear they went with everything. Needless to say, they look really bad now and probably should be retired. They are still on Zappos, but for nearly triple the cost I paid for them. I can't believe shoes that have been around for almost two years are still barely discounted. I've checked Ebay and the Nine West searches are overwhelming.

Would you pay over $100 for shoes you originally only paid $40 for? I know I would get my money's worth. It's just hard to pull the trigger after finding such a great deal.

The first pair wore out so fast because I totally made them my crappy weather shoes. I wouldn't do that if I bought a replacement pair. I would cherish them. JK!

Now I remember why I don't like vicodin. It's 4 am and I can't sleep.

Absolutely.  If I found shoes that were really comfortable and went with most of my clothes I'd snap them up while I could.  In fact, I might even consider two pairs since it sounds like you really miss the first ones.

Of course! $100 isn't much to spend if your CPW is very little (not to mention if you love and enjoy the shoes!).

If you know the style name (i.e. from your original box or from Zappos), can't you search for that style specifically on eBay? Or narrow your search to a type of shoe within the Nine West category? I've done that before with Nine West. For example, I love the Nine West "shem" from two years ago. I have that particular name saved in my favorite searches, and eBay sends me an e-mail whenever one pops up in my size. That way you don't have to slog through thousands of listings.

I have the style name. I search it on google and ebay every couple of weeks. I guess I just wish I could get a good deal on them again.

I agree, you should post the name and we could help you narrow down your search.

YES! try not to think about the difference in price, just think about the cost per wear.

Thanks everybody. I went ahead and ordered them from Zappos, but if anyone has any idea how to find them cheaper, I'd appreciate it.

They are Nine West Studio Ryin in medium brown. I'll post pictures when I get home from work.

The funny thing is, these are so not my style. I actually bought them the same day I bought a pair of sleek snakeskin slingbacks. I thought I would wear the slingbacks to death and maybe wear these once in a great while. It was the opposite! Those slingbacks have barely left the closet, whereas these truly were worn into the ground.

Ditto.  Plus, you can average the cost per wear between the two pairs you've owned and then you're golden!

In a heartbeat!  I know it's hard to get over the sticker shock when the first pair was such a great deal, but it sounds like you just love them and really get your money's worth.  Congratulations on finding such a great pair.
