I hate to admit I have secretly been watching (and enjoying!) this show. I cannot believe how much of an asshole most of the people on the show are.

I used to like Heidi, but man, what a bitch she is now, egging Jen on like that. I felt so bad for Lauren. She seems like a genuinely nice, grounded person. I can't believe the girl gave Jen DIAMONDS, and look what she did in return!

On another note, I am totally over Spencer even more than I was before . I hope he and Heidi break up sooner rather than later... the whole situation's getting a bit old.

I can kind of see your point here...although i overall disagree...Lauren was being very catty with the toast and hammering home the "best friends, never let me down, best friends" bullshit.  that was totally thrown in Heidi's face.  And how she was all over Audrina and "I'm so glad you are here"...that was thrown in Heidi's face too.

But, at the same time...Heidi was egging Jen on when Jen was sort of trying to think about Lauren's feelings.  Then to leave the club all shady and not saying good bye.  Then at the end Heidi kept telling Lauren how she didn't do anything.

They are all pretty horrible to each other.  That is why this show is so great...I love to watch the train wreck.  The bottom line is that they are all very young and spoiled and they are acting just as expected.

I always have to tell myself when watching these shows "who knows if this is how it really happened" MTV edits and cuts things together so much - who knows how it went down in real life and how much of it was for tv.

Anyhow, I can kind of see both sides here.  I do think Heidi was very, very wrong in encouraging Jen to hook up w/Brody - you don't do that to your friend.  That was real crappy and she's a liar saying she didn't do anything.

Jen's really wrong though - she's the one that acted on it.  She knew it was wrong too - she kept voicing her doubts to Heidi, and Lauren even said she called and asked her if it'd be ok for her to hook up w/Brody - she obviously knew it was wrong.

I do think Lauren is wrong though to tell Heidi that she hates Spencer, will not talk about him, and doesn't want to be around him.  I thought it was pretty harsh of her to say that as long as Heidi dates Spencer, they really won't be friends.  You don't do that to your best friend - that puts her in an awful situation.  Lauren is totally forcing her to choose.  I totally thinkg Spencer is a douchebag, but come on.  You have to let your friend make up their own minds about who they date.  I've been in this situation w/girlfriends.  It doesn't matter what you think - they'll date guys if they want to.  All Lauren is doing is putting a wedge in between their friendship.

BTW - the 4 girls (Lauren, Heidi, Audrina & Whitney) were on Tyra's talk show last week.  Heidi's still w/Spencer, and I got the vibe that she really isn't friends w/Lauren or Audrina anymore - they didn't really talk to eachother and all looked uncomfortable.

I have realized that I am totally a Lauren. My ex was a Jason. I just finished dating a Stephen for-ev-er. I never get to have fun like a Kristin. And one of my best friends just totally pulled a Heidi. Yeesh.

Poor, poor Lauren. Her friends blow. It's not surprising to me that childhood friends/high school friends would show such disloyalty (isn't that always the way?) though. Heidi didn't pull the trigger but she definitely egged Jen on, probably to purposely hurt Lauren although when she was caught in the act she kept denying it (shady).

Heidi obviously has a lot of pent up resentment towards Lauren for the whole Spencer saga. I agree with Lauren that she never should have told Heidi how she felt about Spencer. I'd tell my best friends what I thought about their dates/boyfriends, but we all have mature relationships (for the most part) and realize that a guy who your friends don't like is never going to work.

I do agree Lauren has been a little overly forceful in her dislike of Spencer but I suppose with an ass like Spencer, that's easy to do.

She needs some new friends - pronto.

I was reading US weekly last week and they had a 2-page report on Lauren at the NY fashion shows. There was a pic of Lauren with Audrina, and it said that Lauren had brought Audrina with her to the shows. You'd think that she'd bring her "best friend" with her, so it's a good indication that she's no longer bffs with Heidi.

even though Lauren's pretty spoiled (anyone else notice she updated her bmw convertible to a mercedes convertible this season?), she does get screwed over by her friends quite often. i thought so when she was on laguna beach, and it's the same on the Hills. either she's a bitch herself (and mtv's just editing out those parts), or she's just a poor little rich girl who has really bad taste in friends.

spencer and brody are completely shady guys and it's sad these girls will ruin longtime friendships so they can makeout with such scumbags (and prolly catch an STD). i have no doubt that they're dating those girls just to get their 15 minutes of fame. ugh.

Hmm, I don't know. I find it hard to believe that Heidi would be that flaky, but.... The girl's being brainwashed by Spencer, so I find it highly plausible that she is that flaky.

Is it me or is Whitney becoming anyone else's favorite character?

And, WTF? I thought Lo and Lauren were no longer friends?! I can't wait for next weeks episode.
