I have to decide on a program and I keep going back and forth it is so stressful! Just wondering what you guys all went to school for and how it worked out!
I went to school for Computer Information Systems... got a job in tech support and hated it. It did not mesh well with my personality at all.
So I went back for Accounting. I enjoy it except during audit busy season (ie Jan 1-Feb 28) where we work an insane amount of hours and do some major damage to our bodies thanks to the constant ordering out, coffee runs, red bulls, etc. :)
I'm an art major and hate it. I also have a minor in journalism and hated that. I graduate in a few moths. I guess college just wasn't what I expected it to be, but it was worthwhile and I learned alot. I work as a graphic designer and LOVE IT, so I guess it wasn't all bad.
Well, I've been back and forth a maillion times. I'm social work right now and plan on getting my masters in marriage and family therapy

I originally planned to be an International Relations major and then become a diplomat. I got to college though and found out that I really enjoy pop culture a lot more so I switched my major to Communication.
It's worked out fairly well. I started out trying to be a talent agent but that was a disaster because I just wasn't anything like Ari on Entourage. Now I work on TV shows and movies, but as an accountant. I did most of my training on the job and I really enjoy it. I think it's the amount of fun information I get access to (i.e. actor's salaries, etc.) .
I studied politics and political management and I work in politics (basically opposition research/ some policy work and then campaign work part of the year). My job is a ton of fun and I love it, but it doesn't pay very well and it required me to be away from home for months at a time when there's a campaign I need to work on. I also work a lot of late hours and am trated like a 5 year old by my bosses, but that could just be where I am now (or could just be that they're power hungry politicos and everywhere would be the same). Occasionally I think about going to law school or saying screw it and going into finance for the money.
Sorry this turned into a mni rant, I swear I mostly do love what I do!
