Is this worth $160?

OK, I have been salivating over this Nanette Lepore dress for months now.  I have posted about it several times and you are probably all sick of it I can get it for $160 + $10 shipping.  I have corresponded with the owner of the boutique and she has one left in my size.  She says it is tts and the sale is a final sale.  Should I do it?  I won't be able to wear it until next winter--well, I might get one wearing in this year, but do you think jumpers will still be in style next year?  Not that I necessarily go by what is in style, but still I would like to be able to wear it and not feel so last year.  $160 is ALOT for me to spend on one item. What do you think?

I think it's one of those things that's adorable on the model, but hard to pull off in real life - that neckline is strange and seems like it won't hold boobs in...? Also, I've seen that on sale everywhere and there's usually a reason for that... it's probably hard to wear. I would skip it. But just my 2 cents!

I'd pass. Trust me, you will get over it and find something way more wearable and adorable.

Eh. To me it is along the lines of all the other plaid/school girl looks that were huge this fall but maybe not so much next fall (although it is sorta classic). I just worry about the shape of it. I feel like it will look odd to be covered everywhere except the boob area, I have tried these shapes on before and personally I feel like I'm wearing some sort of S&M getup. I love Nanette Lepore but I think you can do better.

pass- unless you tried it in person and loved it.  It could fit terribly.
If the trend is still around- you will most likely find something similar at H & M next year.

I agree. Skip it and buy something you can wear more often.

Guess I'm the one dissenter.....I think it's a great dress w/ fabulous lines for the right body type.  The front is a bit strange but would work well if your flat chested (anyone else part of the A club? We're very exclusive you know...LOL!) & have a boney, thin neckline like the model.

The bottom half flows off beautifuly.  It won't hide everything but if your rear's less than perfect, you should be fine.  Plus it has this quintessiential 60's quality to it that I'm in love w/ right now (& have actually always been quite fond of). If you have a young face & thin upper body, this should be perfect.  And Nanette Lapore always makes well made items w/ nice detail.  H&M probably won't flow as well.  If your a size 6 or 8 & don't like it, you may have to email me & then I may just have to buy it from you!

And does black & white really go out of style?  I could see this being spruced up for early spring, particularly in NY.

Oh you are tempting me.  I am an A cup.  Even with an add a cup push up bra I am only 35" at the largest part of my chest (Hope that is not TMI).

I love that dress and have ever since you posted it the first timeOf course I worry about it looking to young for me but I still love it. Maybe you could get it and try it out and send it back if you need to. If you do get it please post a review , if possible with a pic
