so, i've been lusting over the rebecca minkoff morning after mini for a while now and i went to her trunk show this past weekend. My friend who went with me, made a comment about the bag and said it wasnt worth the money and its got me thinking all weekend. its $525 and i have a 25% off code which brings it to about $430 with tax. Is it worth the money??? i know this is annoying, i've asked about this bag a few times already i think... tia!
I don't think so. It might be totally different in person, but nothing about the shape, design, or look of that bag would make me want to spend that much money on it. Sorry!

I was looking at that bag at a store the other day and realized I didn't really like it all that much in person. I think it looks more like a $200 bag than a $500 one.
strictly from a practical perspective- it looks like it would get dirty in a second. Is it canvas?
I do like it though, and if you love it, i wouldn't call it a crazy purchase. I can see it looking good w/a lot of spring/summer purchases and i love the colors.

i tend to agree. i'm lukewarm about minkoff bags in general, but it all depends on if it's worth the money to you. if your life isn't complete without it, well, you know what to do :)
Just an FYI, I've had the full size Morning After in the blue/brown colorway since August or September, carried it almost every day since then (and I'm super hard on bags), and it still looks like it did the day I got it. Well, except for that nice slouchiness and patina bags get when you use them. The leather feels really nice and softens with age, and I've had no problems with the hardware changing color. That said, I didn't pay anywhere near full price for mine. I don't have the $$ to spend on a bag, so I have no real concept of if it is worth $430. I just know I've been extremely happy with mine. HTH!

Yes, it was me who bought the Rebecca Minkoff bag and then returned it. The company claims to have changed the hardware since then, to eliminate the problems. I just tried searching for my original thread, but the search function isn't working.
The leather on mine seemed to scratch easily (not sure if it was the color), but I don't think you'd notice it on a white bag.
I personally wouldn't spend that much on a white bag, because I would get it dirty quickly. I had a white bag and after a couple months of use it was completely trashed.
