Is this business professional? I think this is really cute, but the print is throwing me as to whether it could be business professional. My style is usually very clean lines and simple. I like the skirt and am thinking about the sweater too. Or othe top suggestions? What do we think?
there is actually a pic of them together but I cannot get it to show up.

It would be perfectly acceptable where I work, but it just depends on the job. I don't think iit is business professional, but it sure is cute. I have been eyeing that outfit for myself.

Like bloomie said, I think it definately depends on the industry. If you work in an artistic environment, sure. But if you work in finance or something serious, you'll probably get coworkers snickering about you behind your back. Sometimes creativity in the workforce is not appreciated!
I could get away with wearing it to work, but I can get away with wearing a lot of things to work. I don't think it's business casual/professional though.

ditto. and together, it could veer into too-cutesy/not-taken-seriously territory. (doesn't it suck how being fashion-adventurous somehow dings off some IQ points/seriousness/responsibility?)
Your opinions are along the lines of what I was thinking. But I do have a trip coming up in Florida with some events and award ceremony type things that I think it would be good for. I will find and excuse to get that darn skirt. Now the test is when I see it in person. Anthro has a way of making me fall in love with something online and in person it just isnt there, maybe that would be ok in this situation.

Same here.

I agree. I really like them both and I think the top would be great for work, but the skirt would probably be more appropriate for weekends and casual parties and other fun occasions like that.
I think it would work really well on a casual Friday instead of wearing jeans. It could totally be your "I'm well put-together and cute even on a casual Friday when everyone else looks like they just rolled out of bed and misunderstand what casual Friday means" look.
But it's not a look for a boardroom or any sort of "serious" meeting. But in some instances, I think it would be good for work.
Also, for what it's worth, if you were to wear a more structured jacket on top instead of the top that you posted, that would make it translate better for work too. I think I might have to get that skirt. It's so cute!
