I'm just gonna rant for a sec because I feel like it.
1) So yesterday, I got home from work and was walking up the walkway to our house when I rolled my ankle on one of those little spiky, hard seed pods from our tree. Well, I wasn't able to regain my balance and I completely fell on the walkway and busted up my hand and my knee. I think I must have fallen pretty hard because now everything in my body aches and my knee is this awesome blue/yellow color. I'm at least glad I was wearing flats and didn't break my ankle. Oh, and did I mention this is the second time I've fallen due to those damn seed pods??? The last time I did, I re-tore my rotator cuff. So yeah, now I've decided we're going to have to have like 10 of those trees removed from our front yard. It's me against the trees and the trees. will. lose.
2) I need new tires for my car. $400. Barf.
3) While DH is taking my car in to get new tires this morning, I asked if he could please have them look at what is making my car make this weird groaning noise every time I make a turn. Well, it's the axles and I need to have both of my friggin' axles replaced or else my car won't pass inspection. $650. Shoot me. I was really hoping I could do some shopping this weekend with my mom, but it's looking pretty unlikely now.
I think I might just crawl back into bed now. Thanks for letting me bitch.
Awww I'm so sorry you're having such a crappy day. I hope your body feels better. And I totally know where you're coming from w/the car. Why does everything go wrong all at once? Ugh. I hope your mom takes care of you this weekend - maybe she'll buy you something nice Hang in there hun (((hugs)))
Aw, that sucks. If it makes you feel any better, I'm having a shitty day, too.
My car is stuck in the parking lot of my building b/c of this craptastic snow storm we had. McStubborn has been chauffeuring me around all week in the snow, so there was no need to dig the car out. But now, I need it; he's working and can't help me right now. I figured that it would have melted off enough so that it wouldn't be stuck. It didn't. I just spent the last hour trying to dig it out with an icescraper. Yeah, an icescraper- the ones that you use on your car windows because I don't have a shovel. My hands are bleeding, my car is still stuck and I have a shitload of stuff that I need to do today.
Oh, and I ripped my jeans at the knee while I was crawling around on the ground trying to icescrape my car out of the parking lot.
If it makes you feel any better, I've tripped about three times on walnuts that fall from the tree and land in our driveway.
And I'm sorry about all your car woes...I think I have some major issues going on with my car, but I'm too scared to find out what they are, so I just keep driving and figure ignorance is bliss.
awww. If it makes you feel bettre we needed new tores last week too. SUCKS.
And my boss made me go to work in a blizzard and I got stuck there because they roads were so bad. I had to walk almost 2 miles in 2 foot snow in order to crash on a coworkers couch for the night (on velantines day none the less!!) . And then yes, go into work again the next morning.
