Does anyone here have any experience with vertigo. I got it 2 weeks ago BAD. I am doing better now, but it is still there a little. The Dr. said that it will probably come back throughout my life...wtf. I hate the thought of that. I have to fly in a month and I am afraid that that could trigger it agian or aggrivate it if it is still not completely gone.
My Dr. was pretty clueless and I am a bit bitter. I feel like I got cured by the internet and a friend who had to read me the articles and not the Dr. I paid $ to go see.grrrrr!!
Anyhow, any experiences of things that trigger, cure, help etc. would be great. TIA

I have gotten it.   I actually get it when I fly badly.  What is the feeling you get from it?  I always feel this falling sensation and become overwhelmed and dizzied by how high I am off the ground.  I start to feel out of control like my bodies falling to the ground.    I haven't flown in quite some time b/c of it.  That is when it gets triggered and I hate it so much.

I haven't found any solution except maybe you could take anti-anxiety pills when you fly.

I'm so sorry you are dealing with this! I don't have vertigo, but I have another medical issue that causes dizziness, so I can relate to how miserable it can be to be dizzy or disoriented in that way.

Maybe try a different doctor. I hope you continue to feel better.

I got it once from being dehydrated after a day on the lake. There is medicine you can take but it didn't really help me. Drinkly lots of fluids, especially Gatorade (for some reason, after I finished one container of Gatorade - never drank it before - I could tell a huge difference). Mine was such that I couldn't even walk straight. How I knew something was wrong was when I got up to go to the restroom in the morning and couldn't make it from the bed to the doorway because I kept ending up falling over. Sounds funny but it freaked me out. If it makes you feel better, I haven't had it since then and that was over 5 years ago.

I second the idea of going to a different doctor. And maybe some kind of rehydrating fluid would help out? Good luck.
