I want to paint my bedroom.

The color of the bedding is like Sienna (it's very close, maybe a touch brighter orange):

The throw pillows are a mix of chocolate brown silk and also one of these:

zebra pillow cover

The furniture is similar to this:

4 drawer narrow leg dresser

Lamps are these:

capiz table lamp

The question is, what color do I paint the walls?? I like chocolate brown, but I am afraid that, with the dark furniture, nothing will "pop" (except for maybe the bedding).

Any suggestions? I am willing to tie in the wall color with additional throw pillows, wall art and accessories. I just don't know what color would look good.

Thanks for your suggestions!

IMO, i don't think a chocolate brown would do justice to your bedding, accessories and furniture.  i'd paint the room in a contrasting color, like a light teal or the wasabi in your color swatch (i'm not a big fan of 'matching' everything).  it's a nice backdrop that can accent everything else in the room without washing it out.

i love how you've decorated your BR!  have fun!

I'd paint the walls a contrasting color to your bedding. I agree on the Wasabi color or something similar.

For the fun of it I colored a room in these colors at BHG.com. Here is the link to the room I did:\

I love chocolate brown walls, but in this case I would do something to contrast more as well.  Something like the wasabi or vineyard colors.

I like Nile and Vineyard. Greens are a good compliment to orangy reds.  I also think the Flax color would be nice and would really make everything POP like you'd like.

I really like the wasabi--I think that'll make everything pop nicely.

What kind of feeling are you going for? Relaxing, stimulating, chic, boho?

A blue-gray or light blue-green would be the choice for a complementary color scheme. Yellowy gold (i.e. analagous color scheme) would feel harmonious. However, pink or fucshia would also be analagous - but much more lively.

A pale pumpkin would bring in the bedding color for a monochromatic scheme, which could be fun if you love that color.
