i really like coh, but the rise kills me. i need something with a higher rise that doesn't look all "mom jean." with the lower rise i have a problem of them always falling down. i have a pair of ingrids and bought a pair of kellys in a smaller size, hoping this would help with the falling off my ass factor. it did not. (and the kellys definitely aren't too big.)
i tried on a pair of christopher blue awhile ago, but they looked awful. maybe something with an 8 or 9 inch rise? it doesn't matter what leg style (although not super skinny is prefered)...as i have to get them hemmed anyhow, and if they have a flare, it gets cut off.
my budget is up to 200 for a really nice pair of jeans that can become my new "it" pair!
have you tried Ernest Sewn? They are my currently my favorite pair- super comfy, and not super low- but not mom- jeans like in the least...I also like AG jeans- they have a ton of different cuts and styles as well...
out of those, the chip & pepper have the biggest flare, and the saltworks mulberry jeans have the narrowest. they aren't skinny... probably more of a straight leg. the jaggers are a bit -too- high, and i love my paige. i heard that paper denim's tru cuts are a little on the higher side.
i think lynnie has a pair of james jeans (hector? troy? either hector is the cut name or the wash name).
Someone on here recommended the Joe's muse in phoenix and I LOVE them. The rise is high and they flow away from the knee. I'm wearing them in some of my SD posts.
hi erin--i don't have much experience with any brand other than coh; it's pretty much all i buy these days. i just noticed that they have recently come out with a higher rise jean:
I also recommend the Joe's Muse. They are awesome. The cut is nice, rise is perfect and there are different rinses and fabrics with different levels of stretch.
