Small Gift for Lawyer Who Made Partner?
Permalink Closed

Hey guys, a friend of ours made partner in his law firm last October. We just found out a week ago though! His wife is one of my best friends but we live across the country from them, and she and I have both been so busy we hadn't talked e-mailed much lately.

You girls are so great with the gift advice so I'd love your thoughts on this. She and I are very close but our DH's are less so...but we'd like to get a card and a small *something* to mark the occasion. I'm kind of stumped. I'm thinking a nice pen, but other than that, I don't know. And does a pen sound too boring? What would a male lawyer like?

A few ideas:

- a nice tie
- cufflinks
- a golf accessory (if he likes golfing -- maybe personalized golf balls or something)
- a cigar accessory (if he likes cigars)
- leather flask
- fancy umbrella
- engraved set of collar stays:
Stayclip Collar Stay Organizer - Chrome Steel Stays
(I got these for my DH for V-day)
