Anyone else having problems w/their Dolce Vita order??
Permalink Closed

Hi everyone-

Just wondering if anyone else has ordered from dolce vita? (www.shopdolcevita.com) I of course broke down and bought a pair of boots that were on sale and although the charge showed up on my credit card, I recieved no confirmation email, no shipping info, no further info from Dolce vita. I've tried calling and sending numerous emails to their customer service, and nada...I'm getting kind of frusterated because I already had one previous order cancelled by them and would really like to know if I'm getting my boots!

Anyway else have similar experiences? or good experiences with them?? I'm getting worried...they don't really seem on the ball over there...

Thanks!!

That's not good. I ordered some boots from the sale and I got confirmation emails and the boots came about 4 days later. They sent me a tracking # too.

I would keep calling their customer service - or go through your credit card company to file a dispute.

I bought two pairs of shoes, but only received one. The other was apparently sold out, but they never emailed me or told me. Two shoes of the one pair I received were different sizes. The right shoe is two sizes bigger than what I ordered. I called and no answer.  I emailed, but never got anything back. So, today, I just sent them back with a letter.

I got mine.  They send me an order confirmation and shipping details.  Doesn't sound good!

I've ordered from them four times now and haven't had any problems. I've always received an order confirmation email briefly after placing my order and, later on, the shipping notification was sent by FedEx.

I emailed them once when I thought I'd ask for a $5 price adjustment, but I never got a reply, so maybe they do ignore emails from customers. It's weird that calling them hasn't helped, though!

I ordered a pair of boots and 2 pairs of wedges the last week in January.  Got an order confirmation shortly after, but then got an email about 3 days later saying that both wedges were out of stock and only the boots were being shipped.  My card was refunded.  The order confirmation said I should have received by Feb 2, and as of this morning when I tracked the package they were still in CA.  Although I did check again tonight and they are in Charlotte (near me), so I should have them tomorrow (now date on tracking says est delivery is tomorrow, whereas until tonight it was still saying Feb 2).

Two comments - first, the website was acting totally screwy when I placed the order.  I kept putting things in my cart and when I went to checkout it said I had nothing in my cart.  I had to do it 5 or 6 times (and each time I kept adding more...how sneaky of them!).  Second, it kind of bothers me that they shipped the boots without checking with me first to see if I would try another size in the wedges.  Had I been given the chance I would have wanted them a half size down if avail.

Good luck!

Thanks for the info ladies...Sarah3, I had the same thing happen to me when I was placing my order through their site...it kept freezing up, or not showing the order and then after 5 or 6 tries, I got an order confirmation but no email or shipping info...It's so frusterating because every time I've called the line has either been busy or I've gotten a message, with no option to speak to a real, live human...I'll give it a few more days and then I guess I'll dispute the charges w/my credit card...It's a real bummer because I really wanted these boots (and only fifty dollars!) but it's been so frusterating to shop with them...ugh...sorry, end rant...:

Lots of ppl have had problems with Dolce Vita. There is only one guy who takes the orders and deals with customers, so he got swamped during the sale.

Some ppl were charged multiple times for one order, some ppl got the wrong shoes completely.

I ordered two pairs of wedges, and got an email four days later that one pair was sold out.  I didn't get tracking info on the other pair, but they eventually came about a week later & they did refund my card for the shoes that were out of stock.  All in all, average customer service imo.

This happened to me too, but everything was fine after that.  I received an order confirmation right away as well as tracking info later on, and my boots came in a week (I ordered Friday night and got them Friday morning).

Ditto. I ordered boots and a few days later, an email came saying they were sold out. I was refunded as well. The website was all screwy for me, too.

well I officially give up...just got an email saying that my second order was cancelled and that they're refunding my money...so frusterating because apparantly the website does not reflect what they have in stock at all...and of course I was really looking forward to those stupid boots...

oh well, guess it just wasn't meant to be...
