I just spent a bit less than 700$ to ship stuff to Italy.

The main thing was the guitar, which I sent by UPS, that was about 500$ (the rest were clothes, but that was ok, I sent them by USPS)

The guitar is worth much more than that, but still it was a bit traumatic. I had never spent so much money at once, aside from airplane tickets...
I guess I am a but shocked...

EEK!  Don't you hate spending money on stuff like that?  We lived in Italy from 2001-2004 and shipped our dogs over once we got settled.  It was $1200 for both dogs to go ONE WAY from Los Angeles to Milan!  Then of course, there were all the fees we had to pay at the airport, plus the drive from Venice to Milan and back.  Overseas shipping is SO EXPENSIVE!!!

Ico!  It's so nice to "see" you!  My friend and I were *just* talking about visiting Italy.  And the first thing I did to resume my research was log on here to review your super-helpful personal messages that you sent the last time I mentioned visiting Italy!  Thank you again, so much.  Hopefully this time I can actually make it over there!

Anyway, hope you're well and sorry you had to pay so much in shipping costs.  What a pain!
